Idk why you don't think Nvidia can develop multiple things at once. They've already started by improving their NVENC ASIC generation by generation and then heavily marketing it towards the streaming community, now they're releasing programs that can benefit that same community, while also acting as advertisements to their higher end RTX line up (RTX Green Screen and RTX Voice).īuild better and cheaper cards than AMD and then start focusing on other stuff I'm assuming because Nvidia wants to further capitalize on the game streaming market. Will be using this over anything in the future. It might hit performance on some setups but as I have a 2080ti I am not worried about. Also the sound quality was quite good but this might be because the mic is so good to start with. Reviewing the clip I could say 95% of the keyboard noise was gone which is more than acceptable. My mechanical keyboard was impossible to filter out.ĭisabled all the previous filters, used just RTX voice and recorded a voiceclip with me talking gibberish and absotelutely smashing the keyboard while doing it. I thought that it was just a matter of setup and settings but never got the filters to work well. Long story short the mic picked up every sound in 50m vicinity. I didn't do my research well enough and wanted an USB mic with decent quality only to recover the different mic types after buying. I have a RODE NT-USB condenser mic which I have tried to use on some streams and gameplay recordings. Lastly, for anyone that uses VoiceMeeter programs, I can confirm that RTX Voice works with them. I also wanna add that they also let you apply the filter to your output, so if you have something noisy you want to filter besides your own input (say, a friend's noisy mic in a voice chat), you can. I'm sure there are more advanced audio solutions you can have that can do a better job than this, but for a free (assuming you have a compatible GPU), simple to use program that's still in beta, it's certainly remarkable. Haven't noticed it on my regular setup either. Also I could hear some audio artifacts with it on, but it's very slight. It does seem make my speech somewhat muffled every now and then on that test recording, but in my experience that doesn't really happen on my regular setup (Hyper X Cloud mic, which has a slight background hum to it that RTX Voice can remove). With it on, the background hum is gone, and the noise from my keyboard and chair are basically non-existent. I'm using an Xbox One Kinect connected to my PC, which is pretty much my worse case scenario as it picks up EVERYTHING (it even picks up sounds from other rooms/floors), isn't directly aimed at or close to my mouth, and is also placed right in front of my keyboard.Īs you can hear from the video, with RTX Voice off there's a hum throughout the video, my keyboard clicks are loud and prominent, and you can clearly hear the squeaking of my chair. Nvidia released their new, free program called RTX Voice a couple days ago, which is an AI powered noise cancelling app that runs on their RTX graphics cards (so yes, you will need an RTX GPU).įrom my initial testing, it seems to work quite well.
